Privacy Policy

Last updated 6 July 2026

Veluve (Toronto, Ontario, Canada) respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Who we are

Veluve provides event photo-sharing and planning tools to hosts and their guests. For the event you create, you (the host) are the party deciding what personal information to collect from your guests, and Veluve processes it on your behalf to run your event.

How we use it

We do not sell your personal information, and we don't use your photos to train third-party AI models.

Automated moderation

To keep the big screen appropriate, uploaded images are automatically screened by an AI moderation provider before a human host approves them. This is a safety check, not a decision that has legal effect on anyone; the host always makes the final call.

Service providers we share with

We use trusted processors to run Veluve. They only receive what they need for their function:

Some providers may process data outside Canada (e.g. in the United States); where they do, the information is protected by contractual and technical safeguards.

How long we keep it

Your event's gallery is retained after the event, and we'll notify you by email before any change to it. Account information is kept while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your event or account at any time (see "Your rights").

Cookies

We use a single essential cookie to keep you signed in to the host app. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Security

Passwords are hashed, transport is encrypted (HTTPS), media is stored in a private bucket and served only through short-lived signed links, and event galleries sit behind unguessable codes and are never indexed by search engines. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Your rights

Under PIPEDA you may ask to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or withdraw consent. Guests can unsubscribe from emails and can ask the host, or us, to remove their photos. To make a request, email [email protected]. You also have the right to contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Children

Veluve isn't directed at children, and hosts should not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate consent.

Changes

We'll post any changes here with a new "last updated" date.
