Terms of Service
Last updated 6 July 2026
These Terms govern your use of Veluve, an event photo-sharing and planning service operated by Veluve, based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Veluve.
1. The service
Veluve lets a host set up an event — invitations, RSVPs, a guest list, seating, a schedule and more — and, on the day, lets guests contribute photos and video from their phones that appear on a moderated live big-screen slideshow and in a shared gallery. Features vary between the free plan and an activated (paid) event, as described on our pricing page.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information and keep your login secure. You're responsible for activity under your account and for the people you invite as co-planners or coordinators. You must be old enough to enter a binding contract in your province or country.
3. Free planning & paid activation
- Planning is free. You can build your event page, send invitations and collect RSVPs at no cost.
- Activation is a subscription (shown at checkout, currently $8.99/month, or $4.99/month billed annually) with a 7-day free trial, that switches on the live experience: the big-screen slideshow, guest photo capture, moderation, seating check-in and full-quality downloads. A payment method is required to start the trial; cancel any time before it ends and you won't be charged.
- Storage. Your event's gallery is retained after the event. We'll notify you by email before any change to your gallery, and any option to keep it longer will be offered to you at that time.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We don't see or store your card details.
4. Refunds
Subscription and extension fees are generally non-refundable once the paid features have been switched on, except where required by law; you can cancel your subscription at any time to stop future charges. If something goes wrong on our side, contact us at [email protected] and we'll make it right.
5. Your content
You own your content. Photos, video, text and guest data you and your guests add remain yours. You grant Veluve a limited licence to host, process, resize, back up and display that content solely to operate the service for your event (for example, generating slideshow and download sizes and showing photos on your big screen). We never sell your content or use it to train third-party models, and we don't repurpose it for our own marketing without your permission.
6. Guests & hosts' responsibilities
As a host you're responsible for having the right to collect and display your guests' photos and personal information, and for moderating what appears at your event. Guests are responsible for the content they upload. Don't upload anything unlawful, infringing, hateful, harassing or that violates others' privacy. Our automated screening and your approval queue help, but you remain the moderator of your event.
7. Acceptable use
- Don't misuse, probe, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service.
- Don't use Veluve for spam, or to collect data you have no right to.
- Don't resell or white-label the service without our written agreement.
We may suspend or remove content or accounts that break these Terms or put others at risk.
8. Availability
We work hard to keep Veluve reliable, especially on event days, but the service is provided "as is" and "as available." We don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we're not responsible for third-party networks, venue Wi-Fi, or devices outside our control.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Veluve is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost photos arising from guest device or network issues. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the event giving rise to the claim.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new "last updated" date; continued use after changes means you accept them.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, and disputes will be handled in the courts of Ontario.
